Training and Development Program
Abstract
Every organization around the globe is expected to engage in frequent
training and development programs to upgrade their employees and systems
of operation. The achievement of this must involve the development of a
comprehensive training and development program. This study will help
develop a training and development program, recommend appropriate
management systems for the program, highlight and give details of the
factors to be considered during the implementation process. The
conclusion will provide details of the employee improvement provided by
the entire program.
Training and development programs are key to the success of any
organization. The need for training and development is necessitated by
the increased dynamism in the business and other environment around the
globe. The frequent technological advancements has been a major reason
as to why most services, skills and product are rendered redundant thus
calling for improved training and development programs within
organizations so as to remain up to date. However, good training and
development programs for any organization require wide consideration
with regards to appropriate management systems, factors to be considered
during implantation and important components of employee development. It
must also consider the connection between training and development and
strategic business plans. Accurate consideration of these factors will
lead to a comprehensive program directed towards quality service and
product deliver to customers.
Factors to Consider in the Implementation Process of a Training and
Development Program
Training and development programs involve processes of development,
trial and implementation. Each and every stage of the process has a
number of factors to be considered so as to ensure a well designed
program with ability to achieve its set goals and objectives. The
implantation stage forms a very crucial stage of the entire process due
to the fact that marks the beginning of the program operation. Due to
this, a number of factors should put considered to ensure smooth
implementation and a successful training and development program. Some
of the factors which must be considered during the implementation
process include goals of the program, nature of the employees,
organization structure and the communication systems within the
organization (Hr Council, 2013).
Goals of the training and Development Program
Each and every program of organization is developed with specific goals
and objectives, these goals are expected to be followed to the end of
the program to provide good evaluation of the entire program.
Implementation stage is challenging and important stage of the program.
Due to this, it is important to maintain the focus on the goals to
ensure the programs intended task is not lost during implementation (The
DENVER Foundation, 2013). In many cases where training programs have
lost their goals at the implementation stage, better part of the program
has failed leading to the lack of results to be evaluated.
Nature of Employees
Employees differ from organization to organization. In addition to this,
it is essential to note the fact individual employees are different thus
posses different qualities and understanding levels. Taking keen note of
the nature employees will provide the implementation team or department
with an opportunity to strategize so as to have each and everyone
covered by the program in the best way possible (McNamara, 2013). This
will help develop a positive perception about the program thus leading
to operation with little resistance.
Organization Structure
The implementation of the program will involve the use of organization
apparatus such as departments. This implies that the program leaders
must ensure that the organization structure is sound to accommodate this
kind of program. The program leaders must ensure that the program
process and objectives do not run contrary to the operations of the
organization, this will help ensure an harmonized process leading to
successful training.
Communication Systems within the Organization
Every process in an organization involves communication both from
internal and external environment. Due to this, it is clear that the
training program must ensure sound communication programs are put in
place. This will enable clear passage of information regarding any part
of the program.

Training and development programs play an important role of improving
the performance of organization in the modern society by empowering
their employees. Due to this, training and development programs are
expected to be comprehensive so as to ensure necessary skills are passed
to the employees so as to meet the market challenges. Training and
development does not involved basic education but and improvement on the
employees so as to meet the market and international standards.
